Samira Rastegar is an experienced school psychologist with more than 20 years of service supporting children, adolescents, families, and educational teams. She began her career in Los Angeles and has since worked with both public and private schools, providing culturally responsive and individualized psychological and educational services.
Throughout her career, Samira has conducted comprehensive psychoeducational and private assessments, completed Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs), and contracted with school districts to provide assessment, consultation, and related psychological services. She has extensive experience collaborating with parents, educators, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to identify students’ strengths, clarify areas of need, and develop practical recommendations for school and home.
Samira has worked with students presenting with a broad range of learning, behavioral, developmental, and social-emotional needs. Her experience includes supporting gifted and twice-exceptional students, as well as students on the autism spectrum. She understands that complex learners may demonstrate significant strengths while also requiring targeted support in areas such as executive functioning, attention, communication, emotional regulation, or academic achievement.
Fluent in both English and Farsi, Samira is able to communicate with and support culturally and linguistically diverse families. Her approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, strengths-based, and neurodiversity-affirming. She is committed to helping families better understand how their child learns, processes information, and engages with the world, while translating assessment findings into meaningful and practical recommendations.

We currently offer in-person assessments in Northern California in the Bay Area.
